There is a gap between the great vision and high-quality targets of Belt Road Initiative (BRI) Western recognition them, which challenges Chinese scholars. This should be narrowed by conducting in-depth case studies comparative at project level. In recent years, international academic community has paid increasing attention to outward foreign direct investment (FDI), but construction much broader in scope, comprising not only FDI projects also China-financed emerging mixed projects.
